Video quality

Problem

The video quality is poor and it is difficult for me to see the other participants. What can I do to improve myself?

Cause

Poor video quality can have many causes:

Internet connection: Unstable or slow internet connections can result in pixelated, blurry or laggy videos.

Bandwidth: Limited bandwidth due to simultaneous downloading or streaming from multiple devices may affect video quality.

Hardware issues: Outdated webcams, low-resolution cameras, or poor-quality microphones may affect video quality.

Software Issues: Issues with the video conferencing software itself can affect video quality. So make sure you have the latest version and optimal settings.

Background Activities: Other applications or processes running in the background may consume system resources and affect video performance.

Network Congestion: Excessive network traffic from numerous users may cause delays or packet loss, resulting in reduced video quality.

Hardware limitations: Insufficient specifications of the devices used (e.g. processor, graphics card, etc.) may not support good video quality.

Solution

To improve video quality, reduce the number of participants in the call, adjust the lighting in the room, and make sure your internet connection is stable. You can also check your camera settings to make sure it's set to the highest possible resolution. Please also check the minimum software requirements and make sure your hardware meets them.
